The BTMS system is an integrated UTC (Urban Traffic Control) and PTM (Public Transport Management) system that is able to provide priority for the public transport. The UTC system is an adaptive system and it encompass in this first phase 100 junctions situated on and within the Inner Ring of Bucharest.
BTMS has also a CCTV system that helps the UTC operators to manage better the system. The communications for all these systems are based on a Fiber Optics network that was implemented in this system. The wireless communication solution for PTM is based on a TETRA.
We were responsible within the project for:
- Concept and design for the entire communication network
- Control Center design
Activities includes site surveys, detailed design and technical specifications,tender documentation, tendering assistance, implementation monitoring and final testing and acceptance.
